Simon Corbett founded The Jargon Group in 2009 with a clear goal: to build an agency that delivers international campaigns that build businesses.
One driven by high standards, strong values, and a culture that supports people as much as it pushes them to succeed.
Starting his career at Weber Shandwick, before moving to Edelman, and Porter Novelli, Simon recognised how great teams and clear development pathways directly shape the quality of an agency’s work. That philosophy sits at the heart of The Jargon Group.
Under his leadership, the agency has become known for helping clients punch above their weight and being consistent, collaborative, and easy to work with. This is reflected in multiple industry awards and the consistent achievement of PRCA CMS accreditation.
Outside work, Simon is a father of two, a motorsport and football fan, and a regular speaker at technology and start-up events. He also lectures on CIM courses and stays closely connected to the next generation of PR professionals.

Kevin Winfield
Managing Director
Kevin leads The Jargon Group’s 20-strong communications team, delivering high-impact campaigns for technology clients.
Kevin leads The Jargon Group’s team of 20 communications professionals, overseeing a diverse portfolio of technology clients to ensure campaign excellence and measurable results. With more than 15 years of experience in public relations, he brings deep expertise in delivering impactful strategies across sectors including retail technology and cybersecurity.
Starting his career at Jargon as a Junior Account Executive, Kevin worked his way up through the business, gaining hands-on experience at every level. His background in journalism shapes his passion for compelling storytelling and content that resonates with audiences.
Kevin has successfully led international campaigns across the UK and U.S., helping brands build influence and market leadership.

Will Herman
Associate Director
Will brings more than 20 years of communications experience, having held senior roles across both public and private sectors.

He has helped brands define clear propositions and secure premium market positions through strategic storytelling and high-quality content that influences key audiences. A published author and photographer, Will combines creativity with commercial insight to deliver campaigns that resonate.
At Jargon, Will leads operations, ensuring efficiency across processes and driving excellence in client delivery. He oversees campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients across the UK, Europe, and the U.S, including global manufacturers and trade associations. His role spans resource planning, team development, and operational strategy.

As founder of XL Communications, Chris brings over 25 years’ experience advising global enterprises and fast-growing tech companies, including Intel, Kodak, Motorola, Toshiba, Nokia, and Garmin. He specialises in strategic messaging, PR, and marketing campaigns that drive measurable business outcomes.

Gavin Loader
Gavin brings extensive experience in global tech PR, communications, and marketing. He leads the Collectivist, the global tech PR agency network, and has held senior roles at leading tech PR agencies including Text 100, Johnson King, and NSPR.

David Slogget
David brings a lifetime of experience as a Chartered Certified Accountant and Registered Auditor, alongside time spent in industry that gives him a practical understanding of how businesses operate.
THE JARGON JOURNEY
Jargon PR has completed five strategic acquisitions that have materially strengthened our capabilities and accelerated our growth: Vantage PR, Souter PR, Glohouse Communications, Pelican Communications and XL Communications. Each of these businesses brought something distinct — specialist sector knowledge, seasoned PR talent, regional depth, and long-standing client relationships that complement our own. Together, they’ve expanded our footprint across B2B technology, corporate communications, sustainability, food & environment, and strategic media relations, giving us a more powerful and diverse platform to build from.
By integrating these agencies into The Jargon Group, we’ve been able to scale quickly while maintaining the agility and client service standards we’re known for. These acquisitions have strengthened our leadership bench, widened our expertise, and created new opportunities for cross-selling, collaboration and innovation across the Group. As a result, Jargon PR is now operating with greater breadth, sharper focus, and the momentum of a company that’s playing firmly on the front foot — and these five acquisitions have been at the heart of that transformation.
