Role: Account Manager
Salary: £30k-£38k DOE + profit share
Location: Hampshire
Job Description:
We are looking for a bright, driven and commercially aware B2B account manager to look after a portfolio of clients across in the tech, cyber, and financial sectors in addition to the food and beverage, packaging and sustainability sectors. With a minimum of three years agency experience, you will be comfortable managing clients and suppliers at all levels. This is a ‘hands-on’ role. You will be well organised and on-the-ball and understand how to deliver campaigns effectively and profitably. You will know your way around status reports, coverage reporting and social media scheduling and as a natural writer, you will be able to turn your hand to any type of copy, from an Op Ed on the latest food safety legislation, written to influence senior industry stakeholders, to an Instagram caption about recycling.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop strategic client partnerships, and take day-to-day ownership of campaigns, supporting the team to deliver varied communications programmes in a range of sectors.

Drive productivity across the team and maximise the profitability of your client portfolio.

Create, manage and implement strategic and tactical activities on client accounts.

Use the news agenda to create opportunities for commentary and media coverage.

Create and maintain strong relationships with sector journalists and influencers.

Produce high-quality and engaging written content, and distribute it via the appropriate channels.

Provide line management for up to three account executives.

Support and coach junior staff members and share your skills and knowledge with the business.

Maintain CPD accreditation with CIPR.

Support the new business programme by identifying opportunities for growth with existing clients, identifying prospects, and co-developing / delivering new business proposals and pitches.
Person Specification
-
Proven professional and relevant B2B communications consultancy experience including a minimum of three years agency experience which must include account management.

Experience working on traditional and digital media campaigns in addition to producing varied content for B2B campaigns.

A natural ‘chameleon’ who can switch sectors, writing style and focus to meet individual client needs.

Skilled communicator who can quickly build rapport and develop long-term relationships with senior industry figures, clients and suppliers.

A dedicated team player who can collaborate with colleagues across multiple locations.

Confident in managing junior team members’ performance, productivity and coaching where required.

Comfortable with hybrid working (3 days office based, 2 days from home).

Willingness and ability to travel and work away from home as required.
