December is here. While at some point that might mean mince pies and cheesy Christmas films, the first few weeks is filled to the brim with a mixture of tying up end of year campaigns and planning for 2025 activity. It can be slightly exhausting.

They offer visitors the opportunity to engage with the latest innovations, explore cutting-edge advancements, and take a glimpse at the latest trends impacting their sectors.
For anyone after an excuse to step away from the end of year mayhem for a few minutes, take a few minutes to look at the trade shows we are most excited for in the new year…
CES (Consumer Electronics Show)
Date: January 7–10, 2025
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

CES kicks the year off for the consumer tech world, demonstrating the latest innovations and soon-to-be-launched technologies available to the public. With over 3,500 exhibitors and a projected 130,000 attendees visiting this year, CES 2025 acts as a launchpad for groundbreaking technologies. This year’s show will host Jason Huang, CEO of NVIDIA as keynote speaker, and is expected to explore AI advancements in a range of areas, including mobility, robotics, healthtech, defense, space, retail, and entertainment.
NRF 2025: Retail’s Big Show
Date: January 12–14, 2025
Location: New York City, USA
Industry Focus: Retail and eCommerce
NRF is a personal favourite. For those ingrained in the fascinating world of retail technology, the Javits Center in January is like last Christmas. The largest retail event in the world, NRF 2025 is expected to be a hub for exploring emerging trends in customer experience, sustainability, and AI. With over 800 exhibitors, the show acts as the year’s curtain raiser for retailers and technology providers looking to shape the future of the industry. If you can put up with the cold (and New York in January is no joke), you’ll be in for a treat.
Mobile World Congress
Date: March 3-6, 2025
Location: Barcelona, Spain
Industry Focus: Telecoms
Away from the wintery wonderland of NRF, MWC offers many of us a first glimpse of sun for the year. Held in Barcelona, Mobile World Congress is the cornerstone event for mobile and connectivity solutions, with 2025 promising to spotlight advancements in 5G, IoT, AI, and emerging 6G technologies. A massive event, it brings together over 100,000 attendees from across the globe. Offering the very best innovations for mobile and telecoms, MWC should be a key date in the diary for any tech professional.
Aircraft Interiors Expo 2025
Date: April 8-10, 2025
Location: Hamburg, Germany
Industry Focus: Aviation cabin interiors
Perhaps slightly more niche, AIX is another favourite within the Jargon Group offices, providing visitors with a glimpse into the future of travel. As the premier trade show for aircraft interiors, AIX features advancements in cabin design, in-flight entertainment, and sustainability solutions. Airlines, manufacturers, and suppliers come together to redefine passenger experiences.
IFA 2025
Date: September 5–9, 2025

Skipping through the summer and landing into the final push before the end of the year, IFA sets the consumer electronics world on its way to the festive season with a wide range of innovations on display, showcasing the very best in a variety of consumer tech segments, from smart home technology, wearables, and appliances to audio, entertainment and gaming. While the agenda for 2025 is still under development, its sure to be an event thats packed with excitement.
IBC 2025
Date: September 12–15, 2025
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Industry Focus: Media, entertainment, and broadcasting technology
Rounding out our list, last but certainly not least, falls IBC. A must-attend event for professionals in broadcasting and digital media, IBC spotlights the latest developments in AI, OTT streaming, cloud technology, and 5G solutions. With 2024’s event pulling in over 45,000 attendees, the show addressed critical trends and issues driving change across the media landscape while offering new show features, such as the AI Tech Zone, and IBC Talent Programme. Its an event that can’t be missed before the end of year chaos ensues.
